Chicago Building Congress’ Merit Award: New Construction over $55M

TERRA designed sustainable solutions for Wrigley Field that allowed the Chicago Cubs to modernize not only a historic Chicago landmark, but a great baseball icon. TERRA served as the civil engineer of record for the expansion to the 100-year-old ballpark, drainage analysis and engineering to mitigate historical water management issues. TERRA designed the grading, drainage and underground utilities for a new plaza and office building on the west side of the ballpark.

TERRA utilized the latest in BIM technology for civil engineering practice to assist in analyzing sewer hydraulics and conflicts with existing and proposed utilities. While the Cubs won the 2016 World Series, Wrigley Field received the Chicago Building Congress’ Merit Award: New Construction over $55M. TERRA was awarded the Most Valuable Diverse Business Partner on Jackie Robinson Day 2017.
